Class Descriptions

Open Deck
Open Deck is a class available for all students who would like to use the deck for their personal karate practice. It is not a formal class but your head instructor will be available for questions and help on material you learned that week in class. This class is offered on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 11:30 and will be open for use until 12:30.

Little Dragons
Little Dragons is a class for children from the ages of 4 to 7. In this class the children will learn basic karate skills, and different values to help them in every day life. They will also learn simple ways to defend themselves, and when it is appropriate to use these defensive moves. The kids will also learn how to count in Chinese!

Youth Karate
Youth Karate is karate for kids from the ages of 7 to 13. In this class kids learn basic karate and self defense moves, they will also focus on different values each month in the S.T.A.R. Program. They are tested on a regular basis as part of their staircase of development. This class is a great way to build confidence and self esteem.

Adult Karate
Adult Karate is for teens and adults ages 14 and older of all skill levels. This class is offered for anyone who has a desire to benefit from the teachings of Martial Arts. We emphasize the positive attributes of students, helping them to gain self esteem and achieve higher goals. This class is where you are able to learn karate more in depth. You learn a series of self defense techniques and their variations, in addition to Kata and Weapons forms. 

Cardio Kickboxing
Kickboxing is offered for anyone the ages of 15 or older. This class is an intense workout that is challenging but safe. Through this class you will build up strength, flexibility, stamina, and coordination. By the end of one class you will have worked out all major muscle groups in the body.

Intro Class
Intro Classes are classes set aside just for you! As a new student it can be quite intimidating to immediately start off in class with everyone else and not know what is going on. In this class you will be shown the basic classroom etiquette as well as some of the basic karate kicks and punches. You may still feel nervous about your first class; however going into it with some prior knowledge is better then being confused.
